The historic building we occupy was deeded by Cherokee County to the Cherokee Arts Council in September 1998. For more than 22 years the Cherokee Arts Center has actively sought quality art programs through the support and development of artists, art organizations and cultural programming.
We believe the arts and artists are essential to building strong community connections. These inter-community connections help to shape our social, physical and economic characters.
Our Mission
The arts are recognized as an integral part of our community and it is our mission to encourage appreciation and understanding of its role in society.
We strive to serve Cherokee and the surrounding counties to meet the needs and expectations of our community by providing the highest quality arts, cultural programs and events.
Our Vision
To foster community involvement through developing, coordinating and promoting excellence in the arts.
